the basic shell was made from an 1 5/8" OD sprinkler pipe from the home improvement center split down the center and mounted on a rectangle built of 3/8"x1/4: Evergreen tube.
the shell was wrapped with .005 Evergreen sheet with hand embossed rivet detail.
the handrail uprights were from an HO diesel kit I found hanging on the wall of a hobby shop. I drew a pattern for the handrails on paper and bent Detail Associates .040 'brass' wire to match the patterns
the stand offs were from the scrap box, probably left-over HO scale stuff
