Day 1 - Just starting out.
The sun setting across the lake.
Along the trail in the Adirondacks are shelter, of the Adirondack type naturally, that are on State land and are first come first serve. Fortunately for us we didn't have any problem finding an open site, I forgot the tent....
Our first portage of trip two.
The first portage was mostly flat and along a dirt road. We were still glad to see the end though.
As you can see, design number two for our kayak carts is much more stable. They should have listened to the engineer from the start.
It was turning out to be a pretty nice day, not too hot, not too cold.
Dad looking at our next section of river. We had stopped for lunch following our second portage, a little more difficult, but nothing compared to the third and fourth portages.
The water fall that required portage number 3. Our carts didn't help on this one. It was a two person care, killer......
We didn't see much for wildlife again on this trip, so the sight of a duck was very welcome.
I followed a Heron around for a little while, man do I love those birds.
Eagles nest, Dad said that there was some babies peaking up over the edge, but I never saw them.
The bridge over completion of section 1.
