Delabole windfarm promo shots

The weather today was fantastic and as John and Barry had recently put the final touches to the first production trike we decided the time was ripe for a photoshoot! The Delabole windfarm was chosen as we wanted something suitably modern and exciting to use as a backdrop, the prospect was all the more suitable as the attached visitor's centre had unfortuntely closed down, meaning we had the whole place to ourselves for the afternoon. We took both the prototrike (silver) and the production Trike (blue) with us.

The new hoist clamp

John recently had a brainwave (as you do), and decided that the clamp we previously used was far too complicated. Instead he thought of a system not entirely unlike the one used to attach barrels of beer to the pumps. Thus a new solution was born. Also see the colour of the new Trike bodywork. The first 20 are that colour.

The Factory

Not having space in our workshop for a whole factory we have to have parts of the Trike manufactured locally by a firm named Alco in Dorset Here are a few pictures taken with my camera phone. The pile of flat, 4-beamed squares are the hoist bases, you can also see the first 20 trike frames stacked up and ready to go!

Barry's photoshoot

These were taken by John back in September 2006 of the then only working model of the trike and hoist, though we had other trikes I believe. John's been going hell for leather to get this Trike out on the market, however putting together something completely new takes time, more than you'd think!

Production Trike first build

This is the first build of the new production trike.It's not all together as you can see by the numerous holes in the body! needless to say, it's been much improved since then.
