Miami Blood Drive
On Sunday May 24th, 2009 Majlis Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya Miami had the opportunity to save 33 lives in their community by organizing a local blood drive with the Florida Blood Centers a non for profit organization in the Miami area. The blood drive was held in conjunction with the Khilafat Day celebration to reflect the Jamaat's spirit of contributing to the community. The blood drive was held from 11am - 3pm with a total of 13 individuals boarding the Big Red Bus, a mobile blood donation station. Out of those, 11 were eligible to donate. Two of the individuals were from outside of the Jamaat which showed a positive response from the local community.
Alhamdolillah , the event allowed MKA to develop a relationship with the Florida Blood Centers and inshallah will lead to future blood drive events.
