Day one of our trip. Teddie is reviewing the map to consider our next stop.
Sandy is still a little bewildered by trailer-living, but is getting used to it.
Pacific Beach, WA. There aren't many campers there this early in the summer.
An over-exposed sunset picture!
Doing a little better here - I'm trying to expose for the plants and not the setting sun.
Just about right for exposure.
I think this one has it!
This one's not too bad, either.
Sandy and GG enjoy some off-leash time at the beach.
GG wandered around a bit, but never ran off.
Our second night out - this is an RV site in Cougar, WA, which is just south of Mt. St. Helens.
Nice place - lots of campers, but it was quiet and woodsy.
Sandy at the bowl - she stopped eating a few days into the trip and had us concerned, but she eventually came around and started eating again.
What a sweetheart!
GG always wanted to be held.
Our home away from home.
If GG wasn't being held, she was sleeping in my lap!
On the road again! That's the Columbia River in the background.
The truck did great this trip!
Our third night - we are in Plymouth, WA, which is just across the line from Oregon.
The countryside is starting to look a lot drier.
A yellow bird attacked my mirror while we were camped!
Our campsite in Lowell, Idaho.
Taking a driving break.
Rivers everywhere!
After driving for a long way along this road we discovered that the hitch pin clip was missing! Fortunately the pin itself did not work loose.
Sandy and GG spent a LOT of time sitting in Teddie's lap on this trip!
A waterfall in Glacier National Park
These red tour buses were all over the place!
The girls are begging for their treat.
These pictures were in and around Glacier Park
We had to circle the perimeter of the park and enter from the East side to see these views.
This was my favorite picture.
I hiked back about a mile or so to get to this waterfall. A very nice area.
Camping at Sandpoint, ID. This was an "RV Resort" run by Best Western and was, by far, the worst place I've ever stayed. The train tracks were less than 50' behind us and freight trains rumbled through at all hours of the night.
This lake beach was right around the corner from the campsite, but no dogs were allowed in the park.
Fluffy white stuff was falling from the trees. When the wind gusted, it looked like a bad snowstorm.
The stuff even clumped up in the gutters.
Teddie reads the Glacier Park book I bought at the gift shop.
OK, OK - I admit it - - - I did NOT take this picture of the mountains! It is a picture from the book Teddie was reading.
So was this one (and it's sideways.....)
Teddie and the girls take a breat at Winthrop, WA
Winthrop is a nice Tourist town. Lots of people there.
Our campsite at Silverline RV Park - about two miles out of Winthrop. We discovered a bird's nest in the tree by the camper door.
Mama Robin guarding her babies.
Sandy and GG want to come outside and play.
The lake at the campground was dead calm this morning.
It looked so nice in the lake that we decided to rent a pedal-boat.
Here we're just pedaling around the water - very relaxing.
Our relaxation spell was soon over, as Sandy decided to bail out and jump into the water!
We quickly fished her out of the lake, but now she was soaking wet and insisted on shaking and jumping into our laps.
Ever smell a wet dog?
Another shake coming up.
She's not sorry. It was a hot day and she found the swim very cooling.
Babies in the nest.
Can't tell how many there are.
Driving over the mountain passes, we could see lakes way down below.
This lake was huge.
On the ferry now.
We're almost home.
