ALFIE: Male, white/ginger Domestic Shorthair I am about 3 years old and have only been at the sanctuary for a few months. Prior to my rescue I had been living on the streets, fending for myself. The sanctuary always tests us cats for any health problems and unfortunately I have tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). This does not mean that I am ill, but my immune system is weaker than that of other cats. It is for this reason that I must be kept separate from other cats, unless they, too, are FIV positive. I would make an ideal house cat, but people are often put off when they hear about FIV. I share my room with Monty, Harley and Tom. We all get along well, even though we have very different purrsonalities. When I first came here, I was very frightened. Of course, I now realise that everyone here is to help me and make sure I have everything I need. I am still quite shy, but am gentle and friendly, once someone has earned my trust.

HOMED: Shiloh-neutered male greyhound. Gentle giant, saved another dogs life by giving blood. HERO!!

Richard was finding life at his original home stressful hence the feather plucking. Thankfully now he is much more relaxed and his feathers are growing back. We will continue to post updates on this gallery of his progress.

'Ronnie Barker', so called due to his ability to express himself, vocally. Ronnie is a Jack Russell, neutered male, tricolour, 2 and a half years. Like most Jack Russell's Ronnie's size does not hold him back. He is very confident and lively and will keep any owner on their toes.

Mac, relaxing in his new home!

This is Roxy a female staffordshire bull terrier which was recently adopted by Matthew Neeson and Angela Johnston. Roxy is happily settling into family life and is having a ball!

This is 'Hamish' with his new owner Heather, the family dote on him and he's came on leaps and bounds. As you can see in this photograph, he looks utterly amazing!

This is 'TJ' who was homed from us at the end of August. TJ is settling into his new home and the routine with his new family. TJ had a skin condition when he arrived at the sanctuary, but as you can see from the above picture his skin is cleaared up and he is looking fantastic!

This is a heart warming photograph, kindly sent in by Miss Long. In the photograph is the very cute 'Pebbles' who was adopted just over a year ago. Miss Long is a talented poet and so sent in a few special little poems, giving us an insight into their life together. A big thankyou to Miss Long and we wish her many fun-filled years with Pebbles.
