The Mashable Social Media Day in Dubai took place at The Shelter in Al Qoz. It was one of 500 meetups organized in 93 countries around the world to celebrate the "Revolution of media becoming social dialogue"
Setting up before #SMDay. Twelve startups and volunteer organizations took part in the event to promote awareness of their goods. These were: Recycle for Charity, Heroes of the UAE, Toffee Princess, WildPeeta, Nathalie's Pies, Labor Care Pkgs, Trekking for Nepal, Wrist, Spa Genie, ME360, Loomni, Logicks, Knowledge Horizons, Automatic Geek and Glowskies.
