Tech Ghetto
This collection of pictures was taken in an area of my hometown that was forcefully abandoned to make way for expensive apartment complexes. I used to drive through the area on the way to school. One day I realized I was driving in the middle of an active city but I was surrounded by completely abandoned houses and churches, most of which were perfectly fine until the day they were abandoned. All of these pictures were taken in Lubbock, Texas in April of 2002. They are in an area near Texas Tech University in a place that had been called "Tech Ghetto" for decades.
