Finally crossing into Mexico - Yikes driving at night in Tijauana no less - toll booth on the road to Ensanada
The road from Ensanada over to the Sea of Cortez and San Felipe
Puertocitos on the Sea of Cortez
Puertocitos south of San Felipe
Looking back at the end of the pavimento1
Nice campsite near Puertocitos
The morning before heading out to conquer what would become known as the San Filipe “Road from Hell” #1
The end of the pavimento and the beginning of “The Road from Hell #1”
Looks OK but its rougher than it looks
Average speed was only 10 Mph
Hadn't seen any cars for 4 hours
Sharp rock everywhere
I noticed oil leaking all over I stopped to check it out - result ...blown shock reservoir... and did I say I hadn't seen anyone for hours
The oil that had leaked out of my rear shock reservoir all over mee boots
Nice but lonely out there
Finally reached this bay after a very long and hard day - unfortunately fifty bucks a night but at this point I'd pay!
Used their radio phone to call San Diego...looks like I gotta go back there to fix the shock
Sunrise on the bay...another day on the "Road from Hell" still riding the pogo stick
Next day I still had another 50 miles to get on the pavement - Took me 3 hours to get to Coco's Corner (30 miles)
Coco's Corner - supposed to have the coldest beer in Mexico but noone was there - bummer! - nice job with the beer cans tho!
Finally on the pavement again - air in the tires and headed back north to San Diego
”Curva Peligroso“ the sign says Dangerous Curve
Back in Baja now - second tiime around - Volcan Virgines
Found a really nice beach to camp on south of Muleje
Mi palapa near Muleje
Headin for La Paz

We tried to get my bike on the boat to cross over to Mazatlan but didn't work out
