Visitors from Leprosy Mission and from Swaziland
On 10 Feb Allister du Plessis, Area Co-ordinator for The Leprosy Mission visited Lyndon as part of our Leprosy Sunday service. His talk was very interesting and informative. He said Leprosy was on the way to be eradicated from Africa but was still a major disease in the Indian sub-continent, and still much work has to be done. Coincidently,we also had a visit from Elizabeth Hynd, Director of the New Hope children's home at Bethany Mountain Swaziland, who said as part of her talk Aids was the new Leprosy in Africa and her organization was helping young children orphaned by the Aids pandemic through Africa Equip. Both talked of the much suffering felt to so many people under their care.
Anne has three young African boys staying with her, they are Caleb 16 and Noah 12 together with Elizabeth Hynd, the Director of the New Hope Centre Children's Home at Bethany Mountain in Swaziland.
