Therukkoothu - Lakshman's Dream
The performance is called "Therukoothu" in Tamil. It is a form of drama, which is performed with dance & singing. These artists, performed in Alliance Francise(France Cultural Centre of Chennai), from the group running by Sambanthan, live for the art, inspite of poor income. Kumaran is the script writer director.
The title they played was "Lakshman's dream, But, tonight we are playing Indrajit". Lakshman & Indirajit are characters from Ramayana. It is a great epic from India. These artists played the scenes of Ramayana, through which they showcased the current status of Therukkoothu.
Note 1: Yeman is the God of Death, who takes life after their end date, as per Hindu mythology.
