"Yes, this is one of the best things about the Internet for sure! I have no clue where the kit came from but it was ancient. Very poorly written instructions with lot's of typos and the wood was very old and very dry. But it was enough to get the ball rolling. There were always a few mandolins around the house when I was growing up that my dad built from kits or found at garage sales. He's also built a lap dulcimer and an African thumb piano so it's very likely that this kit is over 40 years old."
