Front of the house - it looked better than I thought. I know the colours are a bit dated, but I really like the brick on the front. It needs a new mailbox (pink... ick!!) and we'll have to see what's in the front garden - but I really liked it.
Oh yeah... there's a view. That's the school yard (right across the street) and the bus stop is at that corner. Just perfect. And that's our fabulous Rocky Mountains and the downtown skyline in the distance. It looked amazing today.
Entrance way - this was hard to get a photo of. Basically the house is a raised bungalow so you enter at the basement level. The tile is a nice neutral colour, but still warm. I quite liked it.
Basement family room - there was some furniture stacked there that made it hard to really tell how big it was, but it'll fit our monster sectional and make a great tv/play room.
Another view of the family room.
Bedroom in basement - it's a decent size, good sized closet, but the wall colour is hideous. That's okay - a couple hours anda coat of paint fixes that right up!!
Other bedroom downstairs - it's a good size too. The carpet isn't in the best condition, but since the two bedrooms downstairs have the only carpet in the house, it's a non-issue.
Basement bathroom - good size and has a nice big closet in it.
Basement bathroom vanity - it works! And looks pretty good too.
Laundry - mostly the laundry stuff was just in a teeny room, but it has shelves to store laundry and cleaning supplies so it'll work.
Looking down the stairs - while they aren't as nice as my gorgeous circular stairway in our current houses, these weren't too shabby!
Kitchen - no dishwasher, but it's not a huge deal to put one in. We just need to decide where and how much of a kitchen reno we want to do.
Dining area - the built in's will have to come out so we can put our china cabinet in there. Ours is about the same size and a lot nicer. So we'll pull that out and everything should fit. The only trouble is that our dining room stuff is cherry and this isn't. But at some point we'll reno the kitchen and make everything work together.
Living room - love this fireplace and the view was terrific too.
Den - this is going to be our music room. There's room for the piano and my music stand for my flute and some shelves to store my music. Plus the doors means the piano can almost be a part of the living room with the option of closing it off if I want some privacy to practice.
Hallway to the back door.
Upstairs bedroom - this would be Lochlan's. Two big closets and plenty of room for his bedroom stuff.
Master bedroom - again two big closets and room for our stuff. It should work.
Master Ensuite - it's a little thing, but works well enough.
And there's a shower, which is most important to us in an ensuite!
And the view... it's really, really nice.
