Entrance to Waikoloa Village
Quite a change... from the moonscape on the highway to the lush greenery of the resort areas.
See- all green!
It was beautiful
I tried to get a condo in this area- but they were a wee bit out of our price range. But it was absolutely beautiful here.
The entrance to the Hilton
The Hilton Waikoloa Village was a HUGE resort- with hallways of museum exhibits
Lush gardens
Reflecting Pools
Did I mention the lush garden
Neat Hawaiian artifacts graced the hallways
The hallways were filled with cool stuff
Like little bridges
In a Zen Garden
Fish ponds..
With fish!
Lots of fish!
Lochlan loved the fish
And the elephants
This was where we had dinner after the wedding- I didn't get photos then. It was a fabulous Italian restaurant.
The entrance to the restaurant.
A pretty flower.
This was the hotel block where Steph stayed
Lochlan had fun playing with the patio doors in Steph's room
There were gardens on various parts of the roof, so even though Steph was on teh 4th floor... this was the view out her door.
Lochlan like the vew too- he was being a goof in this picture!
Silly Bug!
Look at those teeth! His eye teeth seem really big...
Are we going now?
Ooo! Boat! The Hilton was such a big complex that it was almost impossible to walk to all the different places. So they had boats to take you places! And trains- but they were down for maintenance.
This was where we caught the boat.
According to Lochlan this was a "Bir-DEE!"
The main pool at the Hilton - the hotel was full, otherwise we would have been able to check out the pools in a bit more detail.
More of the pool - it was a beautiful resort.
Now- I forget the name of this restaurant. Steph will have to remind me- but it had a neat atmosphere and GREAT food.
More of the restaurant.
Last dinner- Gary and Judy when home the next day and Steph and Alain went to Maui.
More of the pool
The Sunsets were amazing...
See... aren't they neat?
A view from the terrace at the restaurant.
Sunset
More sunset shots
Sun's pretty much down - oh, it was beautiful!
Sundown
