There are the “mountains”
Scott's driving Kia Kelly
The gravel road to the trailhead
Last minute packing
Scott's ready to go with his new pack
My pack's ready!
Ready to go
Stream crossing
Always showing off your muscles, huh?
Uh, I guess we go this way
I can't get across!
This looks tricky (Scott: “Hand me your trekking poles and all shove you across the creek”)
Yep, it's getting dark
Uh....hmm, Nancy the Navigator (my GPS) says we haven't climbed enough
Finally we made it to somewhat of a clearing and made dinner
Our home for the evening
Sweaty clothes...everywhere
Yummy
Hey, save some for me!!!
Looks gross, tasted great
Post dinner in the North Georgia Mountains
My sparkly toenails...even in the backcountry
Good morning Scott!
Packing up again (hmm...how are we going to get out of here?)
This huge field was so close to us last night, too bad it was dark
searching for a GPS signal so we could bush-whack back to Kia Kelly (my car)
It's too wooded here to get satellites, I don't know where we are!
Yes....we finally made it through the woods!
Peeking out
What?! The REAL trailhead was less than 1/10th of a mile further on the gravel road!!!
Lets go...gotta hike to the top of Georgia's 2nd highest peak
It's a little cloudy up here
Standing on the fire tower
Yuck
Still smiling at the top of Raybun Bald
Backpacking buddies on Georgia's second-highest peak
It was humid out, can you tell?
Yay for the woods!
