Huaraz, Peru
We are currently in a place called Huaraz in Peru. We travelled 8 hours by bus from central Lima to get here. It stunning, its a medium sized traditional town surrounded by mountains. When we arrived about 6am yesterday, the market was just starting, hundreds of stalls/piles on the road side of fruits and grains, ducks and guinea pigs- all live! The people here are great, no one hassles us like they did in Lima, everyone just gets on with what they are doing. The town is surrounded by mountains some about 6000m. Our current altitude is around 3400m, the views are stunning. However as we are high up it rains everyday about 4ish, had a good siesta today! We went rock climbing this morning in the mountains, was really good, bloody hard work though, my forearms just had absolutely no strength left in them towards the end. We had a local guide called ´´James´´ which more than likely has never been his name, but he was cool, talking in broken English, main thing is he didn´t drop
