Louis Mette was the uncle of L.J. Haberkorn and was in partnership with E. Haberkorn in the grain business. It was taken over by A.B. Searing.
Perry F. Remsburg, moved here from Ohio. He married Mary Brown of Ottawa County, Ohio and they had 13 children.

Henry B. Shepherd , the only son of Johnson and Mary Shepherd, moved to Chatsworth in 1869. He married Hannah Husted of Franklin County, Indiana and they had 8 children. I love the horse track !!
