Liz was the undisputed Blackberry Queen - picked enough to fill up a Nalgene bottle & even shared them at breakfast the next morning - nice surprise! The rest of us weren't as restrained, it was one for me, two for...me.
Orient Point - Sebago Canoe Club Cruising Committee, August 8-9 2010 Another great weekend of camping, paddling, food & friends courtesy of the Sebago Canoe Club's Cruising Committee masterminds, Tony & Walter (aka "Pinky & The Brain"). Featuring a couple of lighthouses, the first successful raising of the Cruising Committee Canopy (Tony takes the credit - he says "When I stopped trying to help, it finally went up"), blackberry picking & the COOLEST Brooklyn kayak I ever saw. Orient Point was on day 1; Day 2, those of us who were left split into 2 smaller groups & paddled the sheltered marshes of Long Beach Bay & adjacent Little Bay. A great weekend!
