Brenda Clews, Birth Paintings 1986-1989 The Body Is For Blossoming.......... The Birth Painting Series forms a visual journey of my changing pregnant body. I wished to portray the maternal body as sensual and sacred. Despite my desire to confound the categories of alluring woman and maternal body, I found myself deep in the mystery of creation itself.
