Life in Luang Prabang Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a very small, quiet town in the middle of Laos's rolling green hills, and dotted with French architecture, quiet wats, and sun-soaked colonial alleyways. I hate to use this word, but it's the textbook definition of "charming." I walked the town, visited a nearby waterfall, and took in the sunset.
