10-year-old Lynda Barlow of Woolton, Liverpool, who won the Lady Penelope competition back in 1966 for a oil portrait of David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin from The Man from UNCLE, painted by Ron Embleton of Stingray fame. Lynda was presented with the 'Illya In Oils' on stage at the ABC cinema at Tue Brook, Liverpool by Mr B. Kinley, Liverpool Road Safety Officer, and City Magazines representative for the area, John Kelly. (Taken from a report in Retail Newsagent, 21 May 1966).
