Living in the Light
Luminous Gallery John Donne wrote that "no man is an island". The luminous soul series expresses for me the connections we have to each other, to God, to angels, and to those who have gone before us. They surround us, guide us, and bless us. This series began as a warm up exercise. I dropped paint onto wet paper, scrunched plastic wrap on top of the paper, and let it dry. Then I let my imagination and the paint take over. I began to see shapes that I identified as people and angels. I almost always found dove, flowers, and butterflies that I associated with the Holy Spirit, life, new beginnings.
