Köln - Dom - St Mary's Chapel; Altarpiece of the City's Patron Saints ca. 1445 Stephan Lochner
Köln (Cologne), Germany 07/2007 Köln (Cologne) Germany. An old Roman town around the time of Agrippa. In the middle ages it was a very strong ecclisiastical center and hosted preachers such as Albertus Magnus, Meister Eckhart (!!) and Duns Scotus. The relics of the cathedral drew many pilgrims. The Cologne University was very prominent. Heavily damaged in WWII. Excellent beer and night-life!
