Rural Health and Community Services Project at Long Sebayang Limbang This project the first of its kind organized by the Lions Clubs from Northern Sarawak and Brunei aimed at providing medical and dental services to the underprivileged Penan community found in the jungles of this geographical region. It was jointly organized by 11 Lions Clubs namely Limbang, Limbang Mandarin, Lawas, Miri Host, Miri Mandarin, Miri Central, NCLC Miri City Resort, Lutong, Miri Lambir, Marudi & Belait, Brunei. It was also fully supported and assisted by the Dental Department, Limbang Health Office and 3 hospital personnel. A total of 51 participants including other Lions from Kuching, Sibu and Miri as well as two friends of Lions travelling in 12 cars left Limbang at lunchtime on 6.9.08. Long Sebayang timbercamp located in a beautiful valley beside Long Sebayang river is about 3 hour drive from Limbang. There are a few Penan villages in the vicinity eg. Long Rayeh, Long Tegang.
