Back in 1967 trams disappeared from the city, to be replaced by buses and cars in the name of Progress. A couple of months ago they returned as the heritage tramway to Djurgården was symbolically extended to Sergel Square in the immediate city center with new tramcars and regular traffic to commence all year round. Such is the face of Stockholm. Ever changing, yet still the same.
