Beginning of the Before pictures, taken after Thanksgiving.
The couch, the stove, the kitchen.
The bathroom.
Nice closet in the bathroom.
The area near the front door and the beds, and the couch.
The kitchen.
Pantry (how I wish the doors were open!).
Uncle Jim and Geo at the dining table.
Looking out towards the sleeping area.
Going downstairs to the unfinished basement.
The unfinished basement.
Decorative/functional storage.
The front porch.
The west side of the cabin.
The garage in the back.
The driveway.
Looking from the end of the driveway back at the cabin.
View from the road.
The beginning of the workweek, starting June 15.
The west side.
After stripping bark and before chinking.
Emily stripping away bark on the front porch side.
Krissy filling our cooler for drinking water at a local spring in Slaterville Springs.
The busy bees: Emrys, Sara, Uncle Jim, Geo, Krissy and Chris.
No more couch! A table that is utilized a bit more effectively than a couch for shelving. Probably future site of a futon.
Emrys digging a trench for more effective water management on the west side.
Chris using the saw in the garage.
Geo on the phone under the trees in the driveway.
The west side water diversion channel. Also, you can see the stained logs and maybe the chinking.
Water diversion method!
Krissy puzzled about the decades-old vacuum (notice the pink tape trying to hold the nozzle together).
Emrys lighting a fire for making s'mores indoors.
The main sleeping cot; notice it's precariously perched on some small logs.
Oh, the best place ever: Treman Marine State Park in Ithaca. Home of lovely free and hot showers!
The shower building. What an amazing find.
Family photo in Owego at the Strawberry Festival: Ricki, Geo, Krissy, Chris and George.
Sara peddling her wares (taking her away from 3 days of cabin work, mind you!!!) ;)
Chris helping out with laundry duty in Ithaca.
2 cots restored to decent sleeping ability...really, the cot on the left needs to go. It's a one way ticket to a chiropractor. The other one is decent, but again, perched precariously on the logs again.
Lots of clutter cleared and somewhat organized.
The hidden storage closet that was full of mouse poop. Only things allowed to stay were functional and desirable (including that awesome radio that works really well).
New bathroom curtains.
Light fixtures were improved over the kitchen sink and the whole kitchen and dining room area was cleaned and reorganized.
The muddy driveway.
A little white tag hung on the tree now marks the entrance to the driveway. Blink and you'll miss it.
Little cabin in the woods...see you next year!
