The 2nd Concert - 2th April - The Dreamers + Electric Masada. The musicians (from right to left): Jamie Saft, John Zorn, Cyro Baptista, Joey Baron, Marc Ribot, Trevor Dunn, Kenny Wollesen.
Drummer Kenny Wolleson performed on over 50 recordings during the 1990s and, as the decade progressed, gained increasing renown as a musician of astonishing versatility, skill, and ingenuity. He has recorded and toured with all kinds of musicians, from Tom Waits to Sean Lennon. A founding member of the New Klezmer Trio, Wollesen is also all over N.Y.C.'s downtown jazz and avant-garde musicians' recordings, and has been so active as to tour with Bill Frisell and Myra Melford in the same month.
Trevor Dunn (on the right) is a bassist out of the San Francisco Bay Area, where he works with the best of the locale's creative improvisers and musicians and more. He has performed a variety of styles, with a background in punk and death metal, contemporary classical, blues, and jazz -- both standard and free. Dunn is co-founder and composer of the avant-rock band Mr. Bungle (with vocalist Mike Patton), which started in 1985. Dunn is a member of the jazz, rock, hardcore and other projects.
Eclectic guitarist Marc Ribot has recorded a wide variety of music over his career, working with Elvis Costello and on Tom Waits' Rain Dogs. He has also recorded compositions for classical guitar by Haiti's Franz Casseus, a friend of his parents, and has participated actively in New York City's downtown avant-garde music scene for some time, most notably as a member of the Lounge Lizards.
Drummer Joey Baron was born in Richmond, VA, into what he described as a "Jewish working-class family". Baron was heavily influenced by the rock, jazz, and TV themes of his youth, and taught himself how to play through close listening and watching other musicians. Although he has backed artists from a range of the musical spectrum -- from Tony Bennett to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, from Laurie Anderson to Al Jarreau -- most of Baron's work has been in jazz. He has played with classic greats and with the more avant-garde musicians of '80s and '90s downtown N.Y.C.
Cyro Baptista (1950) is a Brazilian musician, teacher, and recording artist specializing in percussion in the genres of jazz and world music. Since arriving in the U.S. in 1980, Cyro has emerged as one of the premier percussionists in the country. His mastery of Brazilian percussion and the many instruments he creates himself, have catapulted him into world renown. Cyro has also been composing music for the children's television Nickelodeon.
Inspired keyboardist Jamie Saft started appearing on an increasing number of NY-oriented jazz recordings as the '90s progressed. Born in Queens, New York, Saft studied at the New England Conservatory of Music and Tufts University. In 1993, Saft returned to New York and has since been performing a wide variety of music styles, from opera to jazz in a self-described bar band. He was the piano soloist, played Hammond organ and bass, also plays accordion and the steel guitar.

John Zorn, The 54-year-old arranger, producer, composer and saxophonist has appeared on hundreds of recorded works of freeform jazz, experimental contemporary orchestral, post-klezmer, hardcore punk and everywhere in between. Zorn has written and recorded music for numerous film soundtracks and has fronted several noteworthy bands, including Naked City, the Bar Kohkba Sextet, Moonchild and Masada.
The latter serves as Zorn's primary public outlet for expressions of his Jewish identity.

"Это его музыка. Он создает её. Он собирает музыкантов и вдыхает в их проводимость ток. То есть он генератор.

It's hard to find the description of John not as a composer, but he is one of the greatest saxophonists in the world and cosmos.
In the second part (Electric Masada) Kenny switched to drums and his place was taken by Ikue Mori (on the left). She is a Japanese drummer-turned-drum-programmer, composer, and graphic designer. She was playing laptop.

In 1995, Zorn founded the Tzadik record label, a platform for non-commercial sounds emanating from like-minded figures, with series of releases including Radical Jewish Culture, New Japan, Oracles, Composers and Lunatic Fringe.
Almost all of the participants of the festival were recorded on "Tzadik". Most of them are playing in collaborated projects with each other or with John Zorn. Though everyone of them is a very special musical story.
