Straw Bale Geodesic Domes - Aerial photos of site
A Birdseye view of the Green Apprenticeship Bustan (Orchard) Neighborhood. At this stage, early summer 2007, the domes 1-2 are complete, 3 is earth plastered, 8 is having bales placed on the geodesic frames, and the foundations for 4-7 look like an alien spaceship landing field. The neighborhood's neighbors - the goat dairy, recycling colllection station and stock piles of straw bales can be seen. At the center is a geodome tent - the classroom and social space for the GA Green Apprentice group, the kitchen, organic garden, composting toilet building and the showers (under construction).
