Day 1 - Great view near Seguaro National Park. Note that all those specks are actually large cacti. That's a road in the distance.
Day 1 - Gorgeous scene again.
Day 1 - Another beautiful scene.
Day 1 - Dog inside the Desert Museum. With her expert cactus imitation.
Day 1 - I think this guy is a bobcat, I really have forgotten.
Day 1 - There he is again. Actually he's probably a mountain lion.
Day 1 - This bird was perfectly still in this weird position.
Day 1 - How many prairie dogs can you find?
Day 1 - Luther's desert cousin.
Day 1 - A roadrunner! Can you believe it? Wish I had a better shot of him. Beep beep!
Day 1 - Dog in the museum with some nice desert flora.
Day 1 - Look at those cacti.
Day 1 - Okay, maybe this is the bobcat?
Day 1 - Amy and a big horn sheep I think?
Day 1 - Look at that guy. And his friend in the background.
Day 1 - Two more big horn fellows.
Day 1 - Who me?
Day 1 - They had a bird sanctuary type thing in the museum and there were TONS of cool birds. This guy is a hummingbird and he would even stop and hang out occassionaly which was neat to see him still rather than fluttering.
Day 1 - Dog will remember this one's name, but it was something like a morehouse or something.
Day 1 - Driving back to find check in to the hotel. Nice lookout spot.
Day 1 - More view of the lookout.
Day 1 - Honestly, why so many pictures from this location I'll never know.
Day 1 - After a long day of enjoying the Desert Museum and sitting by the pool, Dog and I enjoyed a nice dinner at El Charro in downtown Tucson.
Day 2 - The great explorers enter Sabino State Park (I think) for a nice big hike. Dog has found her first bird of the day.
Day 2 - Amy choosing the road less traveled and heading for the big trail.
Day 2 - Dog mid-trail.
Day 2 - Enjoying the scenery. In many ways it seemed like Alaska, just warm. And with cacti.
Day 2 - Still on our hike, we actually encountered some water.
Day 2 - A full-blown oasis! We sat down and enjoyed an orange before continuing on. Very refreshing place.
Day 2 - Faced with a tough decision. How do we get across the raging stream? We enjoyed a few moments of barefoot glory as we braved through the water. It was exquisite.
Day 2 - Again, after a nice day of hiking and poolside lounging, we had a nice dinner. This place was called Terra Cotta. Very tasty. Not sure who this character is.
Day 2 - That is a strange look for both characters in this photo.
Day 3 - Our hardest and most intense hike at Catalina State Park.
Day 3 - Dog looking much more alive than Amy on the hike. Sadly this is the last picture I took which is a shame because we truly climbed a mountain that day. Lots of hard work, but gorgeous views.
Day 3 - No idea what the point is of this picture, but it is taken shortly after Dog and I had ourselves each a nice massage.
Day 3 - And of course, dinner time. This time at the JBar which I believe is part of the Westin or something. Very nice place.
