Dharma Drum is from chan or zen school of Buddhism. It is very much influenced by the Japanese tradition as Master Sheng Yen studied in Tokyo for many years. Dharma Drum is one of the big three Buddhist organisations in Taiwan, the others are Tzu Chi and Fo Guang Shan.
