In the beginning...
This isn't going to work!
Dampers on 'rubber-bushed' suspension shown here wouldn't fit inside the body shell, so early type was subsequently employed. Front of shell later had to be 'sliced' so it would pivot forwards.
A little light surgery did the trick at the rear! There was just enough room behind the torsion bars to house a Triumph Spitfire fuel tank.
That's better!
2 years later - chassis modifications done, and everything shot-blasted, painted and assembled. Car now just awaiting its coat of Ferrari Rosso top coat.
Nearly finished. Geoff's son Richard tries out the Fio at the 2008 Stoneleigh International Kit Car Show

Out on the open road!
Biggles in full flight!
Light weight (12.8 cwt) and chunky tyres ensure that the car corners brilliantly
Aeroscreens based on the Ferrari 166 SC design. Note the Fiorano red bull badge.
Narrow body created a few challenges.
Excellent engine access. Note the electric water pump which is necessary due to clearance problems. Wheels are newly manufactured, and have 4" rims.
Alternator has been fitted because of the heavy power load of the electric pump and fan. Drive belt is guided round a Golf GTI cambelt tensioner
Fio visits the pretty N Yorks village of Warthill

Nice curves! Plans are to feed the exhaust backwards from the heads, so as to do away with the flexible piping.
Thankyou for your interest in the world's only Fiorano Jupiter!
