Black Prince Day 2010

May Day Bank Holiday: The Black Prince flower boat is paraded throughout Millbrook and then in Kingsand and Cawsand accompanied by several troupes of Morris dancers. Finally the boat is launched into Cawsand Bay, taking the winter with it and thus allowing summer to arrive. It's Beltane, but in Millbrook it's known as Black Prince Day..

We Are Sailing

June's Insight Adventure: Mrs The Millbrooker, The Wizzers of Soz and me were taken out sailing on The Sump's palatial yacht "Syzygy". We sailed around the breakwater in almost zero wind with yours truly at the tiller for a fair bit of the trip. It was great fun - thank you, The Sump!

Shazzerooneypoos has a birthday

April 7th saw Auntie Sharon reach the grand old age of 2. That is to say, by adding the two figures of her Earthling years 4+7, you get 11. Add the two figures of that, you get 1+1=2. By calculating ages in this way one avoids ever reaching an age of responsibility.

Millbrook Goes Smokefree

To celebrate the new smoking ban, we dressed in our best kit (as it wouldn't get smelly from tobacco smoke) and enjoyed a day's carousing including a lunch of smoked dishes prepped by the always wonderful Russell & Mark at the D&C
