Perhaps ADD????
I was a tad bit excited about this.
Our first dinner in Katmandu.
this is a temple near Thamel where we stayed, found it when we were meandering the streets.
Dressed and ready for the first full day. also our room at Katmandu Guest House.
Me too.
Lunch on second day. Lebanese.
Not quite as good as the falafels in Israel.
View down to the garden at our hotel.
Monkeys at the Monkey Temple.
On the way up 365 stairs.
that's a lot of stairs
Scott decided to capture the moment I made it to the top.
View from the top
We ate dinner with Amos and Heidi, Nepal MCC folks at the Nepalese restaurant on the second floor. It was a hard time of night to take a picture but the arcitecutre was so cool. It was right next to Durbur Square. another temple attraction.
Momo's. Traditional Nepalese food. they served it beautifully here.
Scott ordered the Nepalese set meal. I think he said it was good.
View from the tallest cafe in Kathmandu.
On the way up the mountain to our next destination. Nagorgot.
I took this for my mom. we both love succulents.
Viewing deck from our hotel.
Sunset.
Sunrise from our hotel room.
Sunrise from the observation deck.
Close up on the mountain.
We were fortunate to get to see the mountains, the rest of the week they played peek a boo.
We only stayed one night at a fancy hotel on the mountain the rest of the week we were at End of the Universe Guest House. Clean and simple.
Scott practicing Rest.
Jojo practicing rest and watching the clouds go by.
We walked to an observation tower. I didn't realize it was 1.5 hours straight up. I wore my kinda of new Chaco's and got blisters on the way there. Thank goodness it rubbed on a different spot on the way down.
I was expected something a bit more structured.
View from top of the tower.
and that's the reason I didn't go up. I usually have a hard time with the transition coming down. At 40 I have THAT figured out.
I was hoping to capture the steepness, this doesn't quite do it justice.
I named him the joker.
This is our guest house. the clouds were rolling in. then 30 minutes later sunshine again. Kinda like home.
