Brooklands' Vanguard clean 24 Sep & Nov 2011
Vickers Vanguard/Merchantman G-APEP was cleaned by the team assisted by yours truly from the 1-11 (operating the cherrypicker) and two from the Viking team. Alas, only the port side of the top of the fuselage was completed by the end of the day, whilst most of the wings and lower fuselage were done. This is the only complete Vanguard in existance and, until recently, used to do engine runs. Phase 2 of the clean took place in November, just the tail to be cleaned now.
