SHO Shaun Hergatt
Names of the dishes are simplified and purely from memory as I have yet to unpack the menu.
This restaurant is fairly new and still has some kinks to work out. The service was professional, but their timing with dishes/kitchen needed improvement. (Our food was late.) At one point, I noticed the entire kitchen staff in the back just standing there having a meeting. I've never worked in a kitchen, but I just don't think that should happen during the dinner rush. Or at least, not so the patrons can see.
The food itself was good, but not outstanding. You'll notice truffles adorn everything--but they were virtually tasteless in the food. The presentations of the dishes were lovely visually, but overly complicated and did not enhance the taste of the food. (Usually, items plated taste good when sampled individually, and when put together, taste AWESOME. Not so in this case.)
The dessert was by far the best part of the evening. They made an excellent choice with their pastry chef.
