The adoptees came to the public hearing on adoption law at 9:30 am on Feb. 26 at the Francisco Education Center. Despite the early morning hour and the hard-to-find location, we rallied around equal access to democratic govt processes by demanding interpretation/translation.
25% of the audience -- including the world's happiest couple Nicole and Lars (2nd row) -- were adoptees. Our signs, stickers, and nametags made it easy for people to see who they are talking about when they are making the law!!
