Nov. 25th - Ubi Park
We didn't know what Ubi Park was, but we passed it on the bus from Paju to Ilsan, and decided to check it out. Dan & Leah came with us. We thought it was a park and discovery centre of some kind. But while waiting to get into the main building Joel & Dan thought that it had to be a promotional building set up to showcase a bunch of apartment towers that were going up (as Korean's go all out when trying to get you to purchase an apartment) and decided they didn't want to wait. Leah & I were interested anyway and went through. It ended up being a promotional building for the city of Paju. What the city will look like a few years down the road, what it will care about, what it will have... etc. Its going to be the next MAJOR suberb to Seoul, and really really high tech. Worth the wait to get in and see! Oh and Ubi stands for Ubiquitous.... everything new and cool pertaining to Paju has the this word ahead of it.... Ubiquitous Park, Ubiquitous City, Ubiquitous Home, Ubiquitous Shopping....
