Eric is moving to Kansas, so we played a good bye round at Pebble Beach. This is the locker room
Second shot on #1
Geez, 'the most felicitous meeting of land and sea in the world', according to Robert Louis Stevenson and what do I encounter?
Lots of sand
Fancy houses. Scott McNealy lives in one of them I hear
The infamous 97 yd. #7. A half lob wedge or a 1 iron depending on the wind. I parred it :-) On the preceding hole, my ball rolled down the cart path from near that tree to the grass beyond the carts. No par there!
I kept looking for Tipi Hedren but didn't see her.
A posed pic, but still - geez, bend the legs a bit! I played with Dick and Maryanne in Phoenix a couple yrs ago and she took a shot like this. The next day I made sure to bend my legs and shot great.
Carmel beach in the background
The famous 17th. Tom Watson chipped in to take the 1982 US Open from Jack. I parred it :-)
My drive on 18
My 2nd shot on 18, looking back at the tee. Except oops, that's not my ball - mine is in the sand.
The US Open returns here next year.
