Reds beginning to take over Democracy Monument.
Not blocking the whole intersection - just 2 of the star's arms
Still, it's a fairly major intersection. Red Guards directing traffic; no riot police in sight.
Moving toward Lat Phrao and Phanyothin, the convoys are jubilent and music is everywhere.
People start to line the bridges, waving at the passing convoys.
Workers at the bus stop, cheering for the reds.
These guys had a loudspeaker, were shouting and riling up the crowd, who cheered in reponse.
My fortuitous shot of the day: red & yellow taxis, side by side
Went down to the street itself, and people kept inviting me and @robinthailand into the trucks.
So we got in.
Buried within the convoy, we had a different vantage point of the reds as they drove to the 11th Regiment. Very happy, still. Lots of music, shouting, cheering.
Waiting unde an overpass to cheer as the convoy went by.
More supporters on the street.
And above the road on the MRT bridge.
Tired after a day of rallying. Just outside the 11th regiment.
Convoys starting to leave 11th Regiment, while more red shirts continue to arrive.
On my crazy moto taxi to Mo Chit, many reds on the highway, in tuktuks, motos and cars.
Cheering on the side of the expressway
Eating dinner after a long day.
Definitely one of my favorite pictures of the day.
They were giving out free red punch at the monument's edge
So of course we took some. I THOUGHT I was tanned but I look terrifyingly pasty in this photo.
Democracy Monument, as I head home for the day.
Sun setting over the main protest area, with Democracy monument to the right.
Great company for the day: @alohalavina and @robinthailand
