Our hija Begovitsa - unheated unless you room with Stacie :)
Stoyan and Kellen - our fearless guide and our fearless planner. Thanks Kellen!
Now one thing the Pirins have are a LOT of cows and therefore cow paties everywhere. Here is Wil demonstrating that if he did have to poop on the trail he would use a lamb's ear leaf to wipe. The softest TP ever.
Beginning the hike from the hija.
And happening upon an abandoned snowmobile.
Taking a break at the waterfall.
Some of us taking a more relaxed break than others.
Wil eating Tutki and enjoying the view. Those rocks were hard to get over but the ones coming up were much more difficult!
Wil almost bit it off the trail and down the mountain, but luckily just his water bottle went over. But we wouldn't want to leave trash on the mountain so.....
See I told you the rocks would get harder!
Wil past the rocky part. The weather is beginning to clear a little.
Look at that view!
Having reached our destination we took a break.
and reflected.
Can you see Wil peeing in the bushes?
Starting the descent!
That's our trail. The yellow one.
Yep and me next to the marker.
And a cow! A happy healthy cow.
The waterfall at Popina Luka.
Wil.
Only two people would be crazy enough to jump in that cold cold water.
