Dad checks out the food that Heather, Jeffery, my Mom, Mandy and I had worked to prepare for his 60th birthday party barbecue.
Meemers gives Dad a birthday hug.
Heffies pulls her world-famous (ok, Hollfelder famous) stuffed mushrooms from the oven.
All the fixings for a killer burger.
Putting the final touches on the food prep. Mmm, looks so good. =)
The menu for the party consisted of: homemade guacamole w/ and w/o onions (Jeffery), salsa, spinach dip and stuffed mushrooms (Heather), cupcakes (Meemers), and macaroni from me.
Marshall and me after an incredibly difficult week. I'm so lucky to be married to such an incredible guy.
Heather's backyard, site of the Easter egg hunt for the little kids (ignore the prison in the background). ;)
As I understand it this was Cyril's first year hiding Easter eggs. Not bad. =)
Baby Sierra tries to get an egg that Marshall "hid" in the pool.
Hmm, not exactly sure how you're going to get that one Sierra.
Well I wasn't able to capture the picture in between but basically as Sierra was pawing to get the Easter egg out of the pool, Marshall gave her a bit of a push and then had to pull her out of the pool.
My wet muppy.
Marshall and me.
The outhouse shed my dad built for Heather which apparently was a popular hiding spot for eggs.
Heather takes Robyn on a horseback ride around the fields behind her house.
Mom and Dad...
Jeena gets a jump start on the egg collecting as Tessa and Neomie follow close behind.
Neomie's first real Easter egg hunt.
There's one!
And another one. Good job letting Neomie find that Sierra. ;)
Aw muppy... My baby. =)
Tessa collects an egg hidden on top of the sprinkler system controls.
Lorien guides Neomie through the chairs to find a green Easter egg.
Tessa finds an Easter egg but can she retrieve it?
Hmm, there's gotta be a way (Sierra smiles knowingly in the background).
Ah Jeena figured it out!
Keep going, there are still more eggs to find.
Give them some help Sierra.
Neomie points to a blue egg carefully hidden in a palm tree.
Meemers and me.
Marshmellow and me.
Jeffery and Awesamoe. Jeffery loves to mess with that cat and Awesamoe loves it. =)
Jeffery was saying in a booming ridiculous voice "It's a Baby BOY!!"
Yes, we see it's a baby boy. I think he wants down now. =P
Ok, I think Awesamoe likes this kind of a attention a lot more.
After the younger girls found the eggs, Marshall and Cyril went out to hide them a second time so Robyn could find them. Marshall is cruel though and hid them super hard and then timed Robyn with his iPhone. I think she still had fun. =)
Hmm, that basket doesn't look very heavy. Keep going! =)
Marshall consults with Cyril to recall how many eggs were left to find and what kinds of clues to give Robyn so she could find them.
Cyril and Lorien.
The back of Heather's house and balcony.
The guys: Jeriah, my dad, Jeffery and Orlando. I'm not sure what Lando was describing here but I'm guessing it had to do with rock crawling at a steep incline or something. I guess my dad is getting a custom built rock crawler so he's all excited about that.
Heffies baked the birthday cake: Angel Food with strawberry and bananas covered in wHip cream frosting.
Happy Birthday dad. We love you. =)
Opening presents and reading cards.
Uncle Greg (Grandpa to Neomie) holds her on his lap while everyone chills out.
Dad laughs at one of the cards from the girls.
A garage heater (sweet!).
That will come in handy when it gets cold at night.
Jeffery invents "balloon head guy". He appears quite proud of himself. Crazy lady...
That will come in handy too. An ergonomic back rest for a chair.
Reading another card.
Before opening his present my dad shares a story with his brother Greg about how his window got stuck rolled down when it was raining (hmm, I know someone else who had the same problem) and the jacket my uncle gave him kept him dry even though he was soaked on the outside.
Nice, another awesome jacket.
It looks good Dad. =)
