Totally sweet spot, right on the water!
That's Chief, the found dog, on our walk to Shellrock lake.
The colors were amazing this weekend!
Too bad it was all thanks to clear-cutting.
Maples and wild blueberry bushes make up most of the color you see.
Where's Leigh?
Shellrock Lake
Chief just going for it.
Such a peaceful, beautiful place.
Wild blueberries were everywhere!
And so, so delicious.
That was our table at our site. The lake is off to the left.
There were mushrooms everywhere you looked too.
Short ones, tall ones...
blue ones, brown ones...
slimy ones, dry ones...
round ones, flat ones...
big ones, small ones...
I love mushrooms!
The moss hanging from a dead tree.
Not sure the name of this flower...still pretty.
One of the last daisies of the season.
Not sure of the name of this one either...again, still pretty.
I was surprised we didn't find any ents living up there. All the trees were bearded like this.
And a beautiful moon to light our night.
Gor-mutha-freakin-mey baby!
Chief was out like a log...
...and wouldn't move for nothing!
The lake in the early morning mist.
When it comes to eating in the woods, we have no equals!
The colors were so vivid. So vibrant.
