Very hard to resist these treats! You can't help but walk past these pâtisserie shops - they are everywhere! This one is at the end of our street.
Here's another pâtisserie shop that's on our street.
This one was on Rue des Francs Bourgeois - on our way to visit the Musée Carnavalet (the Paris Museum - www.carnavalet.paris.fr)
Works of art - with a similar price tag!
Also, at the end of our street is a place where you can work off all of those pâtisserie delights - especially if the 66 steps up and down the stairs from the apartment don't knock off enough calories.
Palais Royal metro stop - very different than the Louvre stop pictured yesterday yet it is just across the square from this one.
We made it to the Monoprix today - it's less than a 15 minute walk from the apartment and about the closest you can get to a combination department and grocery store.
This is over at the Centre Pompidou - http://www.centrepompidou.fr/ - I'm going there to see the Kadinsky exhibit tomorrow.
The courtyard at the National Archives
Louis XIV in the courtyard of the musée Carnavalet
This is the main gate at the musée Carnavalet - pretty fancy!
This brings back memories of growing up in Montreal in the 60's. I used to love to go to the Steinberg's grocery store with my parents because of the smell of the rotisserie chickens.
A fruit and vegetable shop - lots of selection.
Eglise Saint-Eustache - http://www.saint-eustache.org/ It's not too hard to find a church in Paris. I think it's only the pâtisseries which outnumber the churches!
