Przeobrażenie/ Transfiguration

SERIOUS// Anna Gubernat / Izabela Ołdak/ and their guests---- curator Magda Komborska-------ON Gallery, Poznań (PL) ___________ Instalacja ta powstała z podartych rysunków mojej babci Wiktorii Motyki, która wykonała je w czasie 3 ostatnich miesiecy, po około 60-ciu latach absolutnej stagnacji artystycznej. Marzeniem Wiktorii Motyki było projektowanie wzorów na tkaniny w ASP w Łodzi, chciała także pracować w Bolku i Loku w Bielsku-Białej, niestety nie udało jej się zrealizować żadnych z tych marzeń. Praca ta jest więc symbolicznym odzwierciedleniem jej zmagań jak również nową szansą i okazją do ponownego działania twórczego.

Realm of the Gods

"Myths are universal and timeless stories that reflect and shape our lives- they explore our desires, our fears, our longings, and provide narratives that remind us what it means to be human". Karen Armstrong <<<<<<<<<<<<<<In the beginning, there were many Gods ... they helped people in their daily life, where the sphere of sacred and profane weren't devided. In this work I wanted to bring back the old Gods as totems which protect and care for human beings. I created an immersive environment where the people can have transcendental moments and where the whispers can be heard..

Passage

"Passage" is part of research and workshop project GoodTripBadTrip.reloaded, Dutch Art Institute, Enschede, The Netherlands. The workshop was conducted by Mark Kremer and John Heymans (2009-2010). A research of the interconnections between 1960s Psychedelia and Conceptualism, and their legacy. Journey to Russia, Investigation of Shamanism, experience of the Trans-Siberian Express and trip to Olchon Island, Baikal Lake, Siberia, Russia, 2010.
