Isla Blanca Kite Festival 2011
Kite Festival at Isla Blanca, about 15 km north of Cancun. Cancun kitefliers were Roberto and Cira Reyed. American kitefliers were Penny Lingenfelter, Ron & Tina Jakubowicz, Russ and Pat Moser, Melanie Koenig, Paul & Sue Fieber. Lyle & Barb from Canada also came. Children came from La Casita in Cancun and La Gloria English School on Isla Mujeres. Food for the children and kitefliers, and a sound system, were provided courtesy of Marco at Perricos. Andy and Nancy Myers from "Give a Gift, Get a Smile" brought kites and toys for the girls on Sunday. Other volunteers included Leah, Lulu Suarez, and Maria de Lourdes Rodriguez. It was very windy both days. On Saturday there were two brief rain showers, but the rest of the day was sunny.
