Tatted Motif - Designed by: Mindy Al-Aaraji. This is my first tatting design. Of course I had to add crochet. This pattern is available at the online tatting class: http://www.georgiaseitz.com/2003/mindy.html
Grandmother's Tatted Heart Bookmark- Designed by: Mindy Al-Aaraji.This is my 2nd tatting design. I was inspired by the work of Teri Dusenbury.
This garter was made for my cousin's friend as a wedding present. One of the stitches used was the Josephine knot. The way I arranged the stitch count formed little hearts. I actually call this 'Two Hearts Joined'. This is my 3rd tatting design.
This is the garter without elastic. It is worked in #30 thread. The ribbon is tacked into place with French knots worked in gold thread - desgined in 2005.
This was made for an exchange I participated in. I love the edging but I wish I chose a different fabric. It is silk. I thought it would be softer to use....I just don't like that color for a hankie!!!
The first tatted project I made. The center is a doily, surrounded by a cloth ring, and the outer tatting is a collar pattern. It lays on my mother's kitchen table. The design is from a book I purchased in a different language (Persian). It is possible that the book is a compilation of various designs other than the author. I wish I could give the designer's name, but I'm not sure who the designer is.
I think this was suppose to be a class from the online tatting class, but I didn't tat the pattern correctly. Instead, I just became a little creative and kept going until I stopped. This is what I ended with!
This is an adaptation of Mimi Dillman's CD. These cluny's are crocheted. I think I made this in (2001/02)
Tatted Celtic Knot. Pearl tatting resembles the cord used in RPL. I love working with handmade cords.
