Seattle vacation (Aug. 2009)

My mom visited a friend in Seattle, and we drove up to see both of them for a few days. We had lots of fun, the weather was gorgeous and we had some amazing meals.

Stefanie's dad and Susan visited from San Diego, so there were lots of hikes, a tractor ride and even a train ride. Andrew also left for Japan, so we had a going-away dinner for him at India Grill in Portland.

Kansas Trip (June 2009)

Alex, Stefanie and I flew to Atchison, KS, to see my family in June 2009. My Indiana family -- in a first -- drove in to join us. We had a blast and hope to make the same trip next year.

Andrew's First Marching Band Performance (Sep08)

Andrew's marching band's first performance of 2008, at Sprague High School's first home game of the season. We didn't find out until they performed at halftime that we weren't finished learning the performance, so they didn't really march. Still, it was fun.

Hagg Lake Triathalon (Aug. 30, 2008)

Stefanie and five of our friends competed in the Hagg Lake Triathalon near Forest Grove (west of Portland). The men's team -- Jim, Michael and Stuart -- took second place. Congrats, guys!

Dad & Grandma Visit May 2008

Stefanie, Alex and Teresa drove to Anaheim -- by way of Ashland, the Bay Area and Santa Barbara -- to see Andrew's school band perform at the Heritage Festival. They also visited Disneyland and Catalina.

Baby Yoga (Apr 2008)

Stefanie and Alex started taking baby yoga classes this month. She said Alex really enjoyed it: He babbled and laughed the entire time until the cool-down period, when he chilled out. Here, Stefanie and Alex stretch on our living floor after their first class.
