They're pulling up the sidewalk all over my side of town, all at once. its a big mystery. I think however they need the cement tiles for sidewalks in another more important part of town. Maybe for the african conference.
Coal dump.
Used Firecrackers. Firecrackers a lit for just about every occasion. Usually it is to scare away ghosts, rather than to celebrate. The other day I was awoken at 8am by fireworks in my courtyard. They fired them for a good 10 minutes. I watched from my cooking porch. Then in a plume of gunpwder a black caravan pulled up and a few men in tuxedos got out. Red tassles dangling from the car attennae. It was the pick-up of the Bride before her wedding, as is the tradition. They used the fireworks to scare away the spirits before the new couple emerged into the world.
Shoe repair at the market. I will take my decrepit boots here soon.
Three wheel truck. Most of the market produce is delivered from the countryside on these. Usually 3-4 ruddy faced farmer people are squeezed in the front, and the trailers are mounded high with uncovered cabbages, or whatnot.
Underwhich I sit to wait for the school bus, much to the alarm of many a passerby. I have been berated a few times for sitting under the power lines, at least I think that's why I was being berated .
