Kangchenjunga Expedition 2009

Kinga Baranowska, first Polish woman to reach the summit of Kangchenjunga. On 18th of May Kinga Baranowska as the first Polish woman (Alpinus Expedition Team, KW Warsaw) summited Kangchenjunga (8586 m) which is located in Nepal. Kangchenjunga have been summited in high winds – however, descent on Kang is reportedly very difficult. Kinga Baranowska pierwszą Polką, która zdobyła Kanczendzonge.

Tatry - Orla Perć.

Orla Perć - Most hard and dangerous route in polish mountains. The Tatra Mountains, Tatras or Tatra (Tatry in both Polish and Slovak), constitute a mountain range which forms a natural border between Slovakia and Poland. They occupy an area of 750 km², the major part (600km²) of which lies in Slovakia. The highest mountain is Gerlach at 2,655 m, located in Slovakia just north of Poprad. The north-western peak of Rysy (2,499 m) is the highest Polish mountain.

6 KFG - 6th Krakow Mountain Film Festival.

The 6th edition of Cracow Mountain Festival is going to take place on the fifth of December. During the three days Cracow will be the centre of the great alpine world. The festival guest list includes the travellers, amazing photographers and it will be full of films, presentations, shows, sport competitions, music etc. In a word, a great mountain feast that you simply cannot miss.

Mount Everest najwyższy szczyt Ziemi (8850 m n.p.m.) w Himalajach Wysokich (Centralnych), na granicy Nepalu i Tybetu. Odkryty, i po raz pierwszy zmierzony w 1852. Zbudowany z granitów, gnejsów oraz z wapieni i łupków. Tworzy potężny masyw podcięty z trzech stron lodowcami (najdłuższe Khumbu i Rongbuk - ok. 17 km). Przez miejscową ludność uważany za siedzibę bogów. Po tybetańsku nosi imię Czomolungma czyli Bogini Matka śniegu , po nepalsku Sagarmatha
