LA 433 westbound, as the Old Spanish Trail designation ends officially at this intersection with US 11 (modern Ponchartrain Drive). Historically, the OST continues to the right, the way the LA 433 trailblazer indicates.
US 11 northbound/LA 433 westbound briefly enter a concurrency here, between Old Spanish Trail and Front Street.
Only a couple of blocks west of the previous photo, the concurrency ends. Left: Front Street. Straight ahead: LA 433 (Bayou Liberty Road) westbound. Right: US 11 (Front Street, historic Old Spanish Trail) northbound.

LA 433 ahead carries a lot of fast, sharp and blind turns. Be careful!
LA 433 (Bayou Liberty Road) westbound encounters Carroll Road here. This is the last signalized intersection before LA 433's northern terminus.

Ahead, LA 433 approaches its second drawbridge, a pontoon bridge over Bayou Liberty. This area is a popular fishing spot, and the center of a small community.
Part of the bridge carries a wooden surface. To the right, a replacement bridge is being built.
Here is the main pontoon span of the Bayou Liberty bridge. Water levels were low when this photo was taken. It is assumed that this bridge will be removed when the new bridge is finished.
LA 433 switches to northbound as it departs Bayou Liberty. It carries the designation of Thompson Road from here north to its terminus at US 190. It also widens here to a more standard width.
END! LA 433 northbound here at its intersection with US 190. A left takes you to Mandeville, Covington, and eventually Iraan, Texas. A right takes you through Slidell, to US 11, Interstate 10 and US 90.
Looking south down LA 433 at its northern terminus.
LA 433 (Old Spanish Trail) departs US 11 and heads east to I-10. This section of highway once carried the designations of US 90, US 11 and LA 2.
